Communicable Diseases
The Marquette County Health Department plays an important role in the detection, surveillance, and control of communicable disease in our community. Public Health Nurses investigate and follow up on all the reportable communicable disease and disease outbreaks in Marquette County.
A communicable disease nurse can provide specific information on gastrointestinal illnesses, hepatitis, Lyme’s Disease, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), tuberculosis testing and treatment, and vaccine preventable diseases.
